<p>The original article is available at www.imj.ie</p> <p>We report a case of Type 1 autoimmune pancreatitis presenting as a rare cause of worsening hyperglycaemia in a patient with Type 2 diabetes and discuss the difficulties in differentiating this disease from pancreatic cancer.</p>
