Prediciton of fatigue failure in engineering components using the finite element method

THESIS 5332 Prediction of fatigue failure in engineering artefects is becoming increasingly important as we enter the third millennium; more catastrophic fatigue failures will occur as engineers push the limits of design even further due to demands for greater efficiency. This thesis describes a methodology for predicting fatigue failure in engineering components subjected to high cycle fatigue using the finite element analysis method.
