Securing clinically safe and sustainable acute hospital services: a review of acute services in HSE South and a five year action plan for Cork and Kerry
Horwath Consulting Ireland, Teamwork Management Services
This independent report identifies the optimum configuration of hospital based services for HSE South, in accordance with the HSE’s strategies, transformation priorities and the international trends in healthcare delivery. We address the impact of the new configuration on the interface and relationship between the acute hospital and the primary, community and continuing care (PCCC) service and propose practical next steps, set out in two phases, to establish patient-centred sustainable acute hospital and PCCC services for Cork and Kerry based upon recognised international practice.
