Activities of Irish psychiatric hospitals and units 1986

We present this report in three sections, first for the entire country, second for health boards and thirdly for each hospital individually. Data presented here constitute that thought to be of general interest but more extensive information is available and can be obtained on request from the Health Research Board. The form used by hospitals for gathering the information sent to us is shown on page 7. Coverage Except (or the psychiatric unit in St. Vincent"s Hospital, Elm Park, Dublin and the psychiatric unit in James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin, all psychiatric hospitals and units in the country reported in 1986 and the data in this report, other than for St. Vincents, Elm Park and James Connolly Memorial, Blanchardstown, cover all in-patient (acilities in the country. Data (or St. Teresa's unit in the General Hospital, Castlebar are included with the figures for St. Mary's Hospital, Castlebar; similarly data (from the unit in the General Hospital, Letterkenny are included in the returns (or St Conal's, Letterkenny)
