Physical activity: an agenda for action: a response by the National Forum for Coronary Heart Disease Prevention to More people, More action, More often the Health of the Nation Physical Activity Task Force consultation paper.
National Forum for Coronary Heart Disease Prevention
The National Forum for Coronary Heart Disease Prevention welcomes the intention of government to draw up a national strategy for physical activity, and is keen to participate in this process, through our representation on the national Physical Activity Task Force, and our own networks. Physical activity: An agenda for action is the Forum response to the Task Force consultation document and is intended to inform the development of a national strategy. It summarises the evidence on the health benefits of moderate physical activity, focusing on coronary heart disease (CHD), and points to the need for a coordinated strategy which builds on the activities offering the best potential for change. The report also sets out ideas for action by different sectors at national and local level.
